Audio | Aliza Einhorn: Saturn: It's Importance, It's Lessons, It's Gifts, and It's Truth.

Welcome to episode 65 of The Alchemy Parlour podcast. In this episode join me and my guest alchemist, Aliza Einhorn as we discuss Saturn: It’s Importance, It’s Lessons, It’s Gifts, and It’s Truth.

At the recording of this episode we are currently going through multiple transits and retrogrades including a Saturn one. A planet that stands in the archetype of the task driver, stoic teacher, sage, master. But if we care to quiet our ego mind, and look through the lens of our higher mind we will see that Saturn genuinely wants the best for us, even if it doesn’t express it to us in our particular love language.

Right now as we experience this Saturn retrograde it’s asking us to assess our commitments, goals, strategy, tasks, and make sure structures our sound, we are on the right track. If not, don’t worry..Saturn will help guide you once it’s direct.

Saturn holds an metaphorical mirror to our face so we can see what is masking our fear, why we don’t think that we are good enough for the task, why we resist the opportunity of the challenge before us. Why life doesn’t seem to be fair. Saturn is not here to be fair, it’s here to be true, show integrity, and provide structure to point you on your merrily little way.

As many of y’all are aware Tarot is one of my favorite tools to use when it comes creativity, spirituality, visual inspiration (depending on the deck), and contemplation work. Therefore I want to quickly pull out what major arcana cards are either directly associated with Saturn, or the signs that are influenced by Saturn through traditional astrology which are Capricorn and Aquarius.

Join us as we go over key points such as:

  • Ways Saturn show up in our lives
  • How Saturn can help you with your life purpose
  • Saturn’s relation to Planning and Framework
  • The Saturn Return, and how it can vary for each individual
  • Rebuilding after the Saturn Retrograde
  • Saturn Retrograde Meaning

                          …and more!

This episode is about Saturn and how it has a major influence in the macro and the microcosms of this plane of existence.

I would like to preface that this is only my sharing of consciousness…not the truth, but my perspective on how I am viewing Saturn’s influence through Capricorn —> which represented by The Devil card and Aquarius —-> which is represented by The Star card

The Devil Is Associated With the Capricorn: The Card can be interpreted by attachments to the physical around us that can be materialism, dogma, fear, limiting beliefs, restrictions, attachments, detachments, temptation, addictions, egos, shadow self, taboos, laws, limitations, Master & Slave.

Saturn can feel like a slave driver constantly working you without caring about your well being, you may feel like you are always being tested through limitations that invoke disbelief.

The Star Card is Associated With Aquarius: Aquarius’s It’s modern ruler is Uranus, but it’s traditional ruler is Saturn. The Star is about Hopes, Dreams, possibilities and Purpose.

Believe it or not Saturn can help direct you to your purpose, as Aliza mentions later on in this episode…locate where Saturn resides in your chart and their lies a clue that will lead you in the direction of your unique calling and more meaningful life if you are open to change and doing the work.

The World Card is Associated with Saturn, itself: Fulfillment, achievement, success, and wholeness AFTER you have followed the blueprint, laid down the foundation, and created a sound framework, etc. etc. you know..actually doing the work which also includes understanding and mastered the lesson to complete the level you are on so you can start again and move to the next level.

Saturn is that sage teacher that provides medicinal information through the mastery and full integration of as above (the Star) so below (the Devil’s playground) (the…mastery of what we would call our “lower selves” into a spiritually mature individual walking in our full potential guided by our own wisdom gain from the crumbling of old crystallized beliefs, habits, and self-depreciating behaviors and lifestyles into more of life of that structured to grow, expand, and give back in our own way.

Episode Energy Reading

From here on out we are going to switch it up and pull three cards in the respective space of Opportunity, Challenge, and Lesson.

Interesting side-note: When looking up “Opportunity” on Thesaurus.com two synonyms (among others) that came up are space and time. So keep that in mind whenever you hear me reference opportunity in a reading.

The Question I ask you: What are ways that you can fully integrate your own wisdom of Saturn, its cycles and transits and have it anchored in your truth, honesty and vulnerability because of the experience?

The Lesson is represented by: Temperance

It’s important that you take the experience not as something that was meant to break you down nor build you up, but realize the importance of responsibility, accountability, and maturity.

you gain those levels of awareness and mastery when you actually focus on integrating the information gained from the experience.

The wisdom you acquire are the building blocks to a greater understanding that surpasses the label of victim or victor, student or teacher, human or spirit, but it’s about Being…and that’s all Saturn wants for you is be in your fullest light (love, will, and intelligence).

The Opportunity is represented: Page of Cups

Anchor yourself in what Danielle LaPorte calls your core desired feeling, and recognize its power to help you maneuver in obstacle and opportunity that is issued at you at this time.

Your emotional intelligence is going to help your figure out what is the best possible outcome based on the reality of the situation.

Help you gain clarity amongst the fragments around you and pick up what is needed to build upon your ordained blueprint.

The Challenge is represented by: The Lovers

Ground yourself through Saturn…Yes Saturn is one to give you that honest dose of reality and is not all bad.

When you do, you’ll able to listen to your heart intelligence that will send signals to your brain, and help you make the choice that is best for you at this time, instead of looking at the long term goal (which can be anxiety driven especially if you are already overwhelmed by the experience), focus on the best next steps in the immediate moment.

Going back to the opportunity, your core desired feelings that will help you make your desired choice that is appropriate in the Saturn influenced situation that you are in.

Each choice you make provides the structure you need to withstand the fire, and come out on the other-side bruised, somewhat burnt, tired (look we are talking about Saturn here), but here in all your essence in all your truth which leads to a more purposeful life.

Spiritual Treatment Affirmation

“I am guided through the experience of the Saturn energy to help me focus and channel my why into a structured reality where not only do I master the lesson, I am the example of full integration with my world.” So be it.
